Zai-Chun Memorial Pool commemorates Lee Zai-Chun, who lost his life saving a child from drowning in the Keelung River. The design rebuilds the former memorial pool and integrates it with a greenhouse structure that draws water and landscape into the space.
The project treats water as both memory and renewal, echoing the meaning of Zai-Chun’s name in Chinese, symbolizing the arrival of new life. The combined pool and greenhouse form a contemplative environment where reflection, circulation, and landscape come together to honor his story.
